Radio has survived a lot of things, television, cassette tapes, CDs, and internet radio. It has done this by keeping up with the times, despite being an older format. The leaders of this digital radio evolution are firmly rooted within college radio stations. KTSW San Marcos is the official radio station of Texas State University.
In 2012, KTSW-FM 89.9 launched its first blog, in addition to their older school-run website. This was done largerly because it became apparent that mobile consumption was on the rise. In conjunction with using WordPress, KTSW developed a much more responsive and modern website dedicated to content consumption.
The visitors on the site increased dramatically over the last several years, with an eventual peak in 2015. KTSW has reached far more than just a local audience with this sort of reach. In addition to its largely American audience, KTSW reaches several thousand people from differing nations, from all continents across the globe.
